Natalie Grantner, LCSW, CEDS
Hello—I'm really glad you’re here. Many people find this page while looking for support with eating. Maybe you’re unsure whether what you’re experiencing “counts,” or maybe you’ve lived with an eating disorder for years and you want to talk about it with someone who gets it. You may be wrestling with the way food shows up in your life, how your body image affects your day-to-day, or how hard it is to know what to believe about your own experience.
Others come here for something that feels just as real, even if it isn’t primarily about food. Perhaps older patterns—learned long ago—still show up in your relationships. Maybe you find it difficult to communicate, feel repeatedly misunderstood, or sense a kind of disconnection that doesn’t quite go away.
Some clients are also navigating chronic illness. If you’ve been managing your condition, you may notice that anxiety can still come in—especially when things are going well and you start to worry about what happens next. And it can be deeply isolating when others don’t fully recognize what it costs to live with a chronic condition, leaving you to carry it largely unseen.
In your first sessions with me, we can slow down and make space for what’s true for you—without pressure to figure everything out immediately. A lot of the adults I work with begin by feeling ambivalent about change, questioning whether they “deserve” help, or feeling stuck in uncertainty. You don’t need to prove that your experience is serious enough.
My approach is insight-oriented psychotherapy, focused on understanding patterns—how they started, what they’ve protected you from, and what they might be asking of you now. We begin with conversation and genuine curiosity. Together, we’ll find a way forward that feels steady, compassionate, and right for you.
